On January 13, 2025, Thomas James Thorne, known fondly as Pops, passed away peacefully at his home in Appleton, Wisconsin. Born on May 25, 1957, in Wyoming, Pops was the beloved son of Donald Thorne and Lila Jean Peterson. He was one of eight siblings.
Pops is survived by his two sons, Kyle Thorne and Grant Thorne, and his daughters-in-law, Katherine and Courtney. He adored his sons and cherished his role as a loving Grandpa, always investing time in his grandchildren's lives with unwavering affection and attention.
Pops had a deep love for music, especially playing the drums, and it was a passion he carried throughout his life. Later in life, he developed a strong, devoted faith in Jesus Christ, and he regularly shared his love for the Lord through prayer and Bible study.
We are grateful for the impact Pops had on so many lives and will always remember him with love and joy.
