How to Record or Upload from a Computer

Record in your browser

1. Open the link in your invitation email.
2. Click Record Video.
3. Your browser asks for camera and microphone access. Click Allow.
4. If you have more than one camera or microphone, pick the one you want from the dropdown above the preview.
5. Click the round red button. A short countdown runs, then recording starts.
6. The button turns into a red square. Click it again to stop.
7. Watch it back, then click Submit. Click Retake if you want another go.

Or upload a file you already have

1. Scroll past the recorder to the OR divider.
2. Drag your file onto the box, or click Click to Upload and pick it.
3. The upload starts straight away.

Keep the tab open and your screen awake until it finishes. Closing the tab stops it.

Add your name

Once your video is through, we ask for Your Name and Your Email so the creator knows who it is from. That is the last step.

What we accept

• Formats — .mp4, .mov, .wmv, .avi, .mkv, .webm, .flv, .mpeg, .3gp and .ogg
• Size — up to 4 GB per file
• Length — longer than two seconds
• Dimensions — more than 180 pixels wide and tall
• Sound — the file must contain an audio track

If the camera does not appear

• Your browser may be blocking access. Click the padlock or camera icon in the address bar, allow camera and microphone for tribute.co, then reload the page.
• Another app may be holding the camera. Close Zoom, Teams, or anything else using it, then reload.
• Still nothing? Use the upload box instead. Record with any app on your computer and upload the file.
