We played the video for Spencer just before he was wheeled
down to surgery yesterday. He watched attentively, and tapped the screen when faces
of his girlfriend, brother, dad and me were on the screen as if he were reaching out
and touching us. There wasn't a dry eye in the room. Even the nurses stopped
what they were doing and watched. We believe that it was the best possible send off
for him to have going into this big surgery.
