Background music runs underneath your whole Tribute. Choose from our library, or upload a song of your own.
Add a track
- Click Edit Media in the right-hand panel.
- Click Add Music at the top right.
- Browse by genre — Popular, Happy, Solemn/Sad, Pop/Rock, Hip Hop, Country/Folk, Romantic, Jazz/Blues, Inspirational and Holiday.
- Preview anything before you commit to it.
- Add the track. It appears in your tracklist on the right.
Add more than one and they play in order through the Tribute.
Use your own song
In the same panel, choose Upload a song you own. Give it a name, upload the file, and it joins your tracklist like any other track.
Please only upload music you have the right to use.
Set the levels
Scroll to Settings at the bottom of the music panel. Two sliders:
- Video background music volume — how loud the music sits under video clips
- Photo and Title Clip background music volume — how loud it sits under photos and title slides
Keep it low under videos so voices carry, and bring it up under photos where nobody is talking. That one adjustment does more for a Tribute than anything else in the editor.
