How Do I Mute the Music in My Project?

Turn the music down everywhere

1. Click Edit Media in the right-hand panel.
2. Click Add Music at the top right.
3. Scroll to the Settings section at the bottom of the music panel.
4. Two sliders control everything:
   • Video background music volume — how loud the music sits under video clips
   • Photo and Title Clip background music volume — how loud it sits under photos and title slides

1. Drag either one to zero to silence it completely.

Most people keep the music low under videos so voices carry, and bring it up under photos where there's nobody talking.

Mute the music under one clip

1. In Edit Media, click the clip.
2. Tick Mute background music during this video.
3. Click Save.

The music fades out for that clip and comes back afterwards. Useful when someone is quietly spoken and you don't want to lose a word.

Take a track out altogether

Your chosen tracks are listed on the right of the Add Music panel. Remove one there and it comes out of the Tribute.
