Duplicating puts a second copy of a clip on your timeline. The copy is independent — trim it, mute it or move it without touching the original.
Duplicate a clip
- Click Edit Media in the right-hand panel.
- Click the clip you want to copy.
- Click Duplicate.
A copy appears next to the original. Drag it wherever you want it.
Why you'd want to
- Open with a moment from later. Duplicate a good clip, trim the copy down to one line, and put it at the very front as a teaser.
- Split one message across the Tribute. Duplicate a long video, trim the first copy to the opening, and trim the second to the rest — then place them apart.
- Show a photo twice. Once under one song, once under another.
Removing a copy

Not the same thing: Find Photo Duplicates in the editor scans for photos guests have uploaded twice and helps you clear them out. That's for tidying up, not for making copies on purpose.
